Good Mourning!

Content Warning: This game deals heavily with death, grieving and the funeral industry. While I believe talking about these subjects is healthy, play at your own discretion.

Put on your finest black suit and grab your shovel, it's time to get to work in your favorite local (definitely haunted) funeral home! You and your friends can grapple with the concept of your own mortality with this easy-to-play table-top-role-playing-game!

Choose from six player classes and begin the epic journey of navigating the death industry! Prepare bodies, organize funerals, comfort grieving family, and inter your client in the way of their choosing! Afterward, meet their spirits and help them cross over to the great beyond. Beware, not all spirits go gently into that good night, and might resist the call of the afterlife. No one ever said working the Graveyard Shift was easy.

This game is recommended to be played with 1 to 7 players.
Included with your purchase is a printable zine version that can be folded into a booklet, as well as a screen version.

If you're interested in alternative and/or eco-friendly methods of burial, or need some ideas on what kind of postmortem establishment you want to run, I recommend checking out The Order of the Good Death. If you need help answering some questions about the nitty gritty of death and dying, check out Ask a Mortician on Youtube. Both are run/headed by Caitlin Doughty, who also has several books I've enjoyed.

This game system is a hack of the Tunnel Goons system by the Highland Paranormal Society. All graphics were made with free-use elements from Canva.

Happy Haunting!

My friends and I love Graveyard Shift! I run a game for three players. Our first "season" we did a super mysterious and eccentric cultist and they had to throw his lavish funeral. Spells were cast, demons were summoned, and the cult leaders' ghost did some spooky stuff! They also barely bought & rented enough chairs for all the people from the different clubs/cults this guy was in. We had so much fun we agreed to do a second "season", they loved the idea of being shot into space so we're doing a full Tesla-knock-off with corporate espionage, a non-charismatic nepo baby CEO (my player wanted this character to get too spooked and leave, so she kept rolling for stuff, and finally got enough fear that I had to have the cops come in and arrest the character, we cheered, then by the end of the session she had her next character made up and ready!), and our finale is in two weekends. Thank you so much for this game. The mechanic is so easy and it's been such a delight as a newbie GM to watch my players enjoy the game. :)
